Purna Chandra Kishan (IAS:2005:RJ), Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, Rajasthan.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (November 4, 2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare to repatriate Mr. Kishan on personal grounds, with the imposition of an extended ‘cooling-off’ condition.
Purna Chandra Kishan has been serving in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare since August 2024. His central deputation tenure was for five years, scheduled to conclude in 2029. He has recently sought repatriation to the Rajasthan cadre on personal grounds.
