The Punjab government on Friday appointed Viswajeet Khanna (IAS:1987:PB) as the new chairperson of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) for a period of five years.
He will take over Kusumjit Sidhu (Retd.IAS:1979:HY), the present chairperson after completion of her term of April 12, 2021.
Khanna, presently Additional Chief Secretary cum Financial Commissioner, Revenue is scheduled to retire from service on June 30. Now, he will take premature retirement and head the power regulator body.
