Punjab: Six IAS officers shifted; Vinay Bublani posted as Commissioner, Patiala Division

In a significant development, the Punjab government on Wednesday (April 23, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders for six IAS officers, bringing notable changes to the administrative landscape of the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Rajiv Prashar (IAS:2008:PB), Managing Director, Punjab Financial Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission.
2. Vinay Bublani (IAS:2008:PB), Secretary, School Education with additional charge of Director General, School Education, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Patiala Division, Patiala.
3. Mohinder Pal (IAS:2008:PB), Director, Promotion of Information Technology Industry, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Industries & Commerce with additional charge of Director, Promotion of Information Technology Industry.
4. Gurinder Pal Singh Sahota (IAS:2009:PB), Secretary, Promotion of Information Technology Industry, has been transferred and posted as Executive Director, Punjab Backward Classes Land Development & Finance Corporation.
5. Girish Dayalan (IAS:2011:PB), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Director General, School Education with additional charge of Director, Higher Education.
6. Jitendra Jorwal (IAS:2014:PB), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Additional Commissioner (Excise), Patiala with additional charge of Additional Commissioner, Taxation-I, Patiala, Excise Commissioner & Taxation Commissioner.
