Punjab govt transfers 8 IAS, 88 PCS officers in major bureaucratic reshuffle

The Punjab Government on Friday (February 20, 2026) carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, issuing transfer and posting orders for eight IAS officers and 88 PCS officers across the state.

As part of the administrative overhaul, several young IAS officers have been reassigned to key district and departmental positions.

The details of IAS officers transferred are as follows:

1. Rajdeep Singh Brar (IAS:2020:PB), Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Tarn Taran, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Bathinda. He will also hold additional charge as Additional Chief Administrator, Bathinda Development Authority, Bathinda.
2. Rubinderjit Singh Brar (IAS:2020:PB) has been posted as Additional Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, with additional charge of Additional Secretary, NRI Affairs.
3. Divya P (IAS:2022:PB), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kharar, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Jalandhar.
4. Vivek Kumar Modi (IAS:2022:PB), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Adampur, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Barnala.
5. Krishna Pal Rajpoot (IAS:2022:PB), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Abohar, has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Ferozepur.
6. Davy Goyal (IAS:2022:PB), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bhulath, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Sri Muktsar Sahib.
7. Kritika Goyal (IAS:2023:PB), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Balachaur, has been transferred as Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mehal Kalan.
8. Rakesh Kumar Meena (IAS:2023:PB), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pathankot, has been placed at the disposal of the Department of Local Government for posting as Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bathinda.
