The Government of India has approved the promotion of four Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) against vacancies for the Select List of 2023. All four have been appointed to the Punjab cadre.
The promoted officers are;
- Rajdeep Singh Brar
- Bikramjit Singh Shergill
- Harshuinder Pal Singh Brar
- Rubinderjit Singh Brar
The appointments have been made under the provisions of the IAS (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, and IAS (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955. The officers will remain on probation until further orders, and their induction is subject to the outcome of ongoing cases before the Punjab and Haryana High Court as well as the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Chandigarh Bench.
