Punjab: Former CS V K Janjua appointed as Chief Commissioner, Punjab Transparency and Accountability Commission

The Punjab government on Thursday (12.09.2024) appointed retired IAS officer and former Chief Secretary V K Janjua (Retd.IAS:1989:PB) as the Chief Commissioner of the Punjab Transparency and Accountability Commission.

The Punjab government on Thursday (12.09.2024) appointed retired IAS officer and former Chief Secretary V K Janjua (Retd.IAS:1989:PB) as the Chief Commissioner of the Punjab Transparency and Accountability Commission.

Janjua had retired as Chief Secretary on June 30, 2023, after serving for 11 months, having been appointed to the role on July 6, 2022.

He had even applied for the post of the Chairperson of Punjab Public Service Commission. However, Jatinder Singh Aulakh (IPS:1997:PB), a former police officer, was appointed to the post.
