Punjab: Five IAS officers shifted, Alok Shekhar posted as ACS Home

The Punjab government on Monday (24.03.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for five IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

1. Alok Shekhar (IAS:1994:PB), Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jails with additional charge of ACS, Justice and ACS-cum-Financial Commissioner, Cooperation, has been transferred and posted as ACS-cum-Finance Commissioner, Cooperation, with additional charge of ACS, Home Affairs.
2. Jaspreet Talwar (IAS:1995:PB), ACS, Planning with additional charge of ACS-cum-Finance Commissioner, Taxation, has been transferred and posted as ACS, Planning with additional charge of ACS, Mines & Geology, ACS, Jails and ACS, Justice.
3. Ajit Bala Joshi (IAS:2003:PB), Administrative Secretary, Rural Development & Panchayats, has been given additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Taxation.
4. Basant Garg (IAS:2005:PB), Secretary, Finance, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.
5. Dilraj Singh (IAS:2005:PB), Administrative Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs with additional charge of Secretary, Health and Family Welfare and Commissioner. Food & Drug Administration, has been given additional charge of Commissioner, Gurudwara Elections.
