Puducherry: 8 IAS officers shifted

The Puducherry government on Monday (03.02.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for 8 IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. D Manikandan (IAS:2010:AGMUT), District Collector of Karaikal, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Lieutenant Governor with additional charge of Secretary, Tourism and Fisheries Department.
2. A Nedunchezhiyan (IAS:2012:AGMUT), Secretary to Governor, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Animal Husbandry, HRI & Wakf and Art and Culture.
3. P Jawahar (IAS:2007:AGMUT), Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Commissioner-cum-Secretary to government, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Industrial Development, Trade and Commerce, Forests and Wildlife, Education and Science, Technology and Environment.
4. A Mathamma (IAS:2009:AGMUT) has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Planning & Research, Transport, Power, Civil Supplies, Public Works, Information Technology and AD Welfare.
5. SD Sundaresan (IAS:2011:AGMUT) has been posted as Secretary, Social Welfare, Backward Classes & Minorities, Economics & Statistics and Sports and Youth Affairs. He is also appointed Chairman of PONCARE.
6. Jayanta Kumar Ray (IAS:2011:AGMUT) has been posted as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Labour, Women and Child Development and Cooperation. He will continue to hold charge of Chief Executive Officer, Puducherry Smart City Development Limited and Project Director, Project Implementation Agency.
7. R Kesavan (IAS:2013:AGMUT) has been posted as Special Secretary, General Administration, Personnel, Town and Country Planning, Housing, Local Administration, Vigilance, Fire Service and Information and Publicity. He will continue to hold charge as Special Secretary, Home.
8. A Kulothungan (IAS:2017:AGMUT), District Collector, Puducherry, will also handle Rural Development and hold charge of Special Secretary, Revenue. He is also appointed as Chairman, DRDA.
