Priya Ranjan (IFS:1998:RJ), Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, will continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Managing Director (MD), National Horticulture Board (NHB) for six months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.01.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a period of six months w.e.f 23.09.2024 or till appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ranjan has been holding this additional charge since March 2023, with periodic extensions granted to manage the responsibilities of the NHB MD post.
