The Karnataka government, on Friday, appointed senior IPS officer Praveen Sood (IPS:1986:KN) as the Director General and Inspector General of Police. His appointment as the state police chief came following the retirement of N Neelmani Raju (IPS:1983:KN). Sood was serving as the DG of CID’s Economic Offences and Special Units Wing.
