New Delhi, May 20, 2025: The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter (Q4) and full financial year (FY25).
In Q4 FY25, POWERGRID reported:
- Standalone Profit: ₹4,336 crore
- Standalone Total Income: ₹12,482 crore
- This marks a 5% rise in profit and a 2% rise in income compared to the same quarter last year.
- On a consolidated basis, the profit was ₹4,143 crore and income was ₹12,591 crore.
For the full year (FY25):
- Standalone Profit (including discontinued operations): ₹15,354 crore
- Standalone Total Income: ₹46,325 crore
- Consolidated Profit: ₹15,521 crore
- Consolidated Total Income: ₹47,459 crore
The company has proposed a final dividend of ₹1.25 per share, in addition to the ₹7.75 interim dividend already paid, making the total dividend ₹9 per share for the year.
In FY25, POWERGRID:
- Spent ₹26,255 crore on capital projects
- Added assets worth ₹9,014 crore
- Its total fixed assets (including lease receivables) stood at ₹2.91 lakh crore as of March 31, 2025.
POWERGRID also achieved its highest-ever market value of ₹3.4 trillion in September 2024, showing strong investor trust. By the end of FY25, the company and its subsidiaries operated:
- 1,80,195 circuit kilometers of transmission lines
- 282 substations
- 5,51,961 MVA of transformation capacity
