The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), which trains future IAS Officers, has been promoting ” Vocal For Local”, PM Modi’s slogan aimed at making India self-reliant. All the trainee IAS Officers at the prestigious LBSNAA, Mussoorie have made it a part of their personal responsibility to give preference to indigenous products. This has also resulted into individual indexes and a surge in sales of Ayurveda products at the center.
In his recent address to the trainee officers on 31 October, PM Modi emphasized on promotion of local products to make India self reliant and encouraged the batch of 428 officers getting trained there to make their individual Index of products they use, giving priority to locally made products, as Index facilitates an easier selection process.
Further elaborating about Vocal For Local campaign at the academy, the director Sanjeev Chopra said that besides the trainee officers, the staff and officers working at the academy are big promoters of local products and Ayurvedic Products are getting a big boost for campaign. It has been decided at the LBSNAA to purchase locally produced goods from the village fairs. The Director further emphasized that such programmes will be continued in the future and will work in a significant way towards making India and Indians self reliant. This awareness will spread far and wide with the trainee officers completing their training and getting posted across the length and breadth of the country.
