Piyush Anand (IPS:1991:UP), currently serving as the Special Director General (DG) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), is slated to take on the mantle of Chief of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given its seal of approval to Anand’s appointment as the Director General (DG) of the NDRF, for a tenure spanning two years. He is set to succeed Atul Karwal (IPS:1988:GJ), who is due to retire on March 31.
