Amarendu Prakash is set to be new Chairman of the Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). Prakash’s name has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday (12.04.2023). Presently, he is serving as Director in-charge (Bokaro Steel Plant), SAIL.
He will be appointed to the post of Chairman, SAIL after receiving vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
The following 09 applicants were interviewed in the selection meeting :
