The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Tuesday (July 8, 2025) initiated the selection process for the post of Director (Technical) at Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) by issuing an official advertisement.
As per the notification, eligible and experienced candidates can apply by August 4, 2025. The post will fall vacant on March 1, 2026, with the retirement of incumbent Shankar Nagachari, who has been serving in the role since September 2022. He is set to retire on February 28, 2026.
Notably, two other Director (Technical) posts are already vacant at CMPDIL. PESB recently (July 2, 2025) conducted interviews and recommended two names to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for appointment. The first is Rajeev Kumar Sinha, currently General Manager (TS to CMD), CMD Secretariat, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). The second is Nripendra Nath, presently serving as General Manager, Magadh-Sanghmitra Area, Central Coalfields Limited.
