The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has called for applications to fill the post of Director (Mining), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL). The notification was issued on Tuesday (August 26, 2025), with September 23, 2025, set as the last date for submission of applications through the PESB portal.
The post has been lying vacant since March 22, 2025, when then Director (Mining) Sanjiv Kumar Singh assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of HCL. Following his elevation, Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), HCL, was entrusted with additional charge of Director (Mining) on March 28, 2025.
Most recently, on August 25, 2025, Sinha’s tenure holding additional charge was further extended for three months — from June 22 to September 21, 2025 — or until a regular incumbent takes over.
