The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has issued a notification inviting applications for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), SJVN Limited. The advertisement was released on Friday (September 17, 2025), with October 14, 2025, fixed as the deadline for submission of applications through the PESB portal.
According to the notification, applicants must be either an engineering graduate, chartered accountant, cost accountant, postgraduate, or a graduate with an MBA/PGDIM from a reputed institute. They should also have cumulative experience of at least five years during the last ten years in one or more areas such as finance, business development, production, operations, marketing, or project management in a large organization of repute.
The top post has been lying vacant since June 20, 2025. In the interim, Bhupender Gupta, CMD of NHPC Limited, has been holding additional charge of SJVN Limited.
