The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has not recommended any candidate for the post of Director (Human Resources, Film Production & Promotion) at the National Film Development Corporation Limited (NFDC) after holding a selection meeting on May 6, 2025.
Only one candidate, D Ramakrishnan — currently serving as General Manager and holding additional charge as CEO of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 and Film Bazaar 2024 — was interviewed for the position. However, the PESB concluded that he did not meet the required criteria for recommendation.
In its official communication, the PESB has advised the Ministry to take an appropriate course of action for filling the post, including the option of constituting a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC).
