A parliamentary panel has shown concern at the declining FDI in the manufacturing sector. It has urged the commerce ministry to make concerned efforts to increase the share of manufacturing in FDI.
The committee has asked for speedy disposal of all pending cases seeking FDI approval.
The committee has also asked the government to look into the fact that just a handful of states capture major chunk of FDI inflow, leading to regional disparity in development.
