P Shankar (Retd. Sr. PPS, CSSS cadre) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Dr. VK Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, on a contract basis. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (July 23, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his appointment on a co-terminus basis.
Mr. Shankar’s tenure will begin from June 1, 2025, and continue until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to Dr. VK Paul or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He will serve at the Under Secretary level.
