The Odisha government on Thursday (07.03.2024) promoted two senior IPS officers to the rank of Director General (DG) of Police. The General Administration & Public Grievance Department issued a notification confirming the promotions.
The officers elevated to the rank of DG are:
- Lalit Das
- Sapna Tewari
Currently, Lalit Das holds the position of in charge of the Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) within the Odisha Police, while Sapna Tewari is on central deputation, serving as the Additional Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
