Odisha: Nine IAS officers shifted; Saswat Mishra gets Finance & Energy charge

The Odisha government on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders for nine IAS officers. This is the first major bureaucratic reshuffle by the BJP government since forming the government in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Nikunja Bihari Dhal (IAS:1993:OR), Additional Chief Secretary to CM, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chairman, IDCO, Bhubaneswar.
2. Surendra Kumar (IAS:1993:OR), Additional Chief Secretary, GA & PG Departments with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism Department, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department.
3. G Mathivathanan (IAS:1994:OR), Additional Chief Secretary, Housing and Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar.
4. Hemant Sharma (IAS:1995:OR), Principal Secretary, Industries Department with additional charge of Chairman, IPICOL is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, MS & ME Department.
5. Saswat Mishra (IAS:1996:OR), Principal Secretary to Governor with additional charge of Chairman, OSSSC is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Finance and Energy Departments.
6. Usha Padhee (IAS:1996:OR), Principal Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department.
7. Vishal Kumar Dev (IAS:1996:OR), Principal Secretary, Finance with additional charge of Chairman, GRIDCO and Principal Secretary, E & IT Department is appointed as Principal Secretary, E & IT Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chairman, OFDC.
8. Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma (IAS:1999:OR), Commissioner, Land Records & Settlement, has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner-cim-Secretary, Sports & Youth Services Department.
9. R Vineel Krishna (IAS:2005:OR), Sports Secretary and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been posted as Commissioner, Land Records & Settlement.
