The Odisha government on Saturday (22.06.2024) made two significant appointments in the Chief Minister’s Office, appointing two officers to the post of Additional Secretary to Chief Minister.
Senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer Chitrasen Rout, earlier serving as Additional Secretary to the Works Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Similarly, Umesh Chandra Tripathy, a senior officer of the Odisha Finance Service cadre, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister. Before this assignment, he served as the Financial Advisor-cum-Additional Secretary to the Government, Steel & Mines Department.
A few days ago, the state government appointed senior OAS officer Trilochan Mohanty as the Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister. He was previously the Keonjhar Sub-Collector. Incidentally, Keonjhar is the Chief Minister’s home district.
Additionally, Satish Chandra Samal, who was previously the Senior Private Secretary in the Home Department cadre, has been appointed as the Additional Private Secretary to the Chief Minister.
