As reported by LegendOfficers.com on December 5, the tenure extension of Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja (IAS:1990:OR) was highly anticipated, and it has now been confirmed. Ahuja has been granted a one-year extension as Chief Secretary of the state. The Odisha government had sought approval from central government, which has now been officially granted.
Ahuja’s tenure, initially set to conclude on December 31, 2024, will now continue until December 31, 2025.
Ahuja assumed the role of Chief Secretary on July 1, following the BJP government’s return to power on June 12. His repatriation to Odisha was facilitated at the request of the Mohan Majhi government. Prior to his return, Ahuja served as Union Secretary for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
