Odisha: 14 IPS officers shifted, Sanjeeb Panda posted as CP of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack

In a significant overhaul of the police department, the Odisha government on Wednesday (24.01.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 18 police officers. This includes 14 IPS officers and 4 state police service officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Sanjeeb Panda (IPS:1994:OR), Director, Intelligence with additional charge of CMD, OPHWC, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
2. Soumendra Kumar Priyadarshi (IPS:1995:OR), Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, has been transferred and posted as Director, Intelligence.
3. Santosh Bala (IPS:1995:OR), Special Secretary, Home has been given additional charge of CMD, OPHWC.
4. Himanshu Kumar Lal (IPS:2003:OR), IGP, ER, Balasore, has been transferred and posted as IGP, NR, Sambalpur.
5. Dr. Deepak Kumar (IPS:2004:OR), IGP, NR, Sambalpur, has been transferred and posted as IGP, NCR, Talcher with additional charge of Principal of PTC, Angul.
6. Satyabrata Bhoi (IPS:2004:OR), IGP, SR, Berhampur, has been transferred and posted as IGP, ER, Balasore.
7. J N Pankaj (IPS:2005:OR), IGP, EOW, STF, has been transferred and posted as IGP, SR, Berhampur with additional charge of IGP, EOW, STF.
8. Kanwar Vishal Singh (IPS:2010:OR), DIG/SP, Puri, has been transferred and posted as DCP, Cuttack in the rank of DIGP.
9. Pinak Mishra (IPS:2011:OR), DCP, Cuttack, has been transferred and posted as SP, Puri.
10. Banoth Jugal Kishore Kumar (IPS:2011:OR), AIGP, Hqrs, has been transferred and posted as SP, Kendrapada.
11. Sandeep Sampat (IPS:2012:OR), SP, Kendrapada, has been transferred and posted as SP, Dhenkanal.
12. Vivekanand Sharma (IPS:2014:OR), SP, Rayagada, has been transferred and posted as AIGP, State Police Hqrs.
13. Gyana Ranjan Mohapatra (OPS), SP, Dhenkanal, has been transferred and posted as SP, Special Branch, Bhubaneswar.
14. Amaresh Kumar Panda (OPS), SP, Sonepur, has been transferred and posted as AIGP, State Police Hqrs.
15. P K Mishra (OPS), SP, Deogarh, has been transferred and posted as SRP, Rourkela.
16. Rama Prasad Sahoo (OPS), SP, Special Branch, has been transferred and posted as SP, Deogarh.
17. Harisha BC (IPS:2020:OR), SDPO, Jeypore, has been transferred and posted as SP, Rayagada.
18. Yashpratap Shrimal (IPS:2020:OR), SDPO, Baliguda, has been transferred and posted as SP, Sonepur.
