The total installed capacity of India’s largest power generator-NTPC has gone up to 62,110 MW after the twin acquisition of in North-Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) & THDC India Ltd (THDCIL).
NTPC has bought the government’s stakes in these two PSUs for Rs.11500 crore. The buyout has added nearly 13% in the capacity of NTPC in the current financial year, ending on March 31.
