The Central Vigilance Commission, in it’s recent report, observes that majority of corruption related complaints sent for necessary action are not being examined timely and not updated regularly. The Commission has noted this issue with concern and all CVOs are advised to promptly update the status of action taken on each complaint. In an order issued on Thursday, the CVC expressed concern to CVOs or Chief Vigilance Officers, who are the distant arm of the Commission to check corruption– of Central government departments and public sector banks, among others.
