No dearth of talent among minority communities, 145 youth selected in civil services exam : Naqvi

A total number of 145 youth, belonging to minority communities, out of the total 829, who finally qualified, the prestigious Civil Services examination conducted by UPSC this year, ascertained the fact that there is no dearth of talent among minorities communities.

At an event to felicitate the youth belonging to minority communities, who qualified for Civil Services this year, Minorities Affairs Minister, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, emphasized the important role played by schemes like ” Nai Udaan ” , “Naya Savera “which gives free coaching to minority community students for various competitive exams including that for Civil Services and other UPSC examinations, medical, engineering, banking, administrative examinations and other competitive exams through various institutions and organisations.

Naqvi, further said, the youth successful in the central government”s civil services are a “role model” for other youth from minority communities and weaker sections of the society.

Naqvi said only 2 crore 94 lakh minority students had been given scholarships before 2014 and due to the Modi government”s commitment to “inclusive empowerment” 4 crore 60 lakh minority students , a majority of them girls, got scholarships in last 6 years under the Modi Government.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region and MoS in Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports and MoS, Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, were also present on the occasion.
