In the light of the Finance Ministry advisory, to rationalize and review consultants’ requirements and their salaries as well as a ban on printing or publishing of books, govt. publications, and documents on imported paper, speculations were rife that new recruitments may have got done away with. This was in the context of the present fiscal situation and the consequent pressure on government resources. However, now the ministry of finance has clarified that there is no restriction or ban on filling up of posts in the government of India and that normal recruitment will continue as usual without any curbs.
In a latest statement, the finance ministry said that the order issued by the department of expenditure on Friday deals with internal procedure for creation of posts and does not in anyway affect or curtail recruitment.
