In a significant development, senior Indian Forest Service officer Satya Prakash Vashishth (IFoS:1994:AM), currently serving as Executive Director (Administration) in the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (January 9, 2026), the competent authority approved the proposal of the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation for Vashishth’s premature repatriation.
Vashishth has been serving in the post since February 2022.
