New Delhi: Senior IAS Officer Nitishwar Kumar (IAS:1996:UP), Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Women and Child Development, will continue on central deputation until his retirement on August 31, 2027.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (August 25, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of his deputation beyond September 30, 2026, up to the date of his superannuation, i.e. August 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Notably, Kumar has been serving in the Ministry of Women and Child Development since September 2022, when he was brought to Delhi on central deputation from Jammu & Kashmir. Prior to his central deputation, he was serving as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha.
