Nitin Kumar Yadav (IAS:2000:HY), presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has been elevated to the rank of Additional Secretary through an in-situ upgradation.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (14.06.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the upgradation of Mr Yadav’s position as a measure personal to him. This will be achieved by temporarily upgrading the post he currently holds to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
