Nina Singh appointed as DG, CISF

Ms. Nina Singh (IPS:1989:RJ), currently serving as the Special Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has been appointed as the Director General of CISF. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Thursday (28.12.2023), confirming the appointment. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs to appoint Ms. Singh to the position from the date of joining the post until 31.07.2024, i.e., the date of her superannuation or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Ms. Nina Singh had been holding the additional charge of DG, CISF since August 31, following the retirement of DG CISF Sheel Vardhan Singh (IPS:1986:BH).
