Nilabhra Dasgupta (IRS-IT:2008), currently serving as Deputy Chairperson of Paradip Port Authority, has been appointed as Deputy Chairperson of Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, on a lateral shift basis.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (14.06.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the curtailment of Mr Dasgupta’s tenure at Paradip Port to facilitate his new assignment in Deendayal Port under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. His deputation will now continue until 10.05.2028—marking the completion of a combined five-year tenure outside his parent cadre—or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
