Nidhi Khare gets addl. charge of Secretary, MNRE

Nidhi Khare (IAS:1992:JH), Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). She replaces Prashant Kumar Singh (IAS:1992:MN), who has been repatriated to his parent cadre, Manipur, and subsequently appointed as the Chief Secretary of state.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (14.01.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary to Mr. Khare with immediate effect till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
