Senior IAS officer Neeraj Mittal (IAS:1992:TN), currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (July 18, 2025), the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge to Mr. Mittal for five days—from July 20 to July 24, 2025—during the period of absence on leave of Chanchal Kumar (IAS:1992:BH).
