Neeraj Agrawal appointed India’s next Ambassador to Mauritania

Neeraj Agrawal, serving in the MEA, has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to Mauritania and will take up the role soon.

Neeraj Agrawal (YOA: 2009) was on Tuesday (November 18, 2025) appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. He is currently serving in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to assume his new role shortly.

In a statement, the MEA said, “Shri Neeraj Agrawal (YOA: 2009), presently posted in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.”

“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the ministry added.
