Senior IPS officer N Venugopal (IPS:1995:HP) has been inducted into the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as Joint Director for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to induct Gopal into CBI for a period of five years on deputation basis from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
