Muanpuii Saiawi (IFS:2005) was on Monday (January 19, 2026) appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to New Zealand. He is currently serving in the Ministry of External Affairs as Joint Secretary and is expected to assume his new role shortly.
In a statement, the MEA said, “Ms. Muanpuii Saiawi (IFS: 2005), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to New Zealand.”
“She is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the ministry added.
