MP govt transfers 29 IAS officers; Alok Kumar Singh moved from CMO, Karmveer Sharma is new Bhopal Divisional Commissioner

The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday (June 17, 2026) carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 29 senior IAS officers across the state. Among the key changes, IAS officer Alok Kumar Singh was shifted from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and appointed as Inspector General of Registration.

Another significant appointment saw Karmveer Sharma being posted as the new Divisional Commissioner of Bhopal.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Mukesh Chandra Gupta (IAS:1998:MP), Secretary, Human Rights Commission, Bhopal with additional charge of Member, Revenue Board, Gwalior, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Jail Department with additional charge as Member, Revenue Board, Gwalior.
2. Dr E Ramesh Kumar (IAS:1999:MP), Principal Secretary, Scheduled Caste Welfare Department; Principal Secretary, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Revenue Department; Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Department.
3. Vivek Kumar Porwal (IAS:2000:MP), Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Mineral Resources Department.
4. Sanjeev Singh (IAS:2005:MP), Commissioner, Bhopal Division, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
5. Babu Singh Jamod (IAS:2006:MP), Commissioner, Rewa Division, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department.
6. Deepak Singh (IAS:2007:MP), OSD-cum-Secretary, State Election Commission, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum-Registrar, Cooperative Societies.
7. Alok Kumar Singh (IAS:2008:MP), Secretary to Chief Minister with additional charge of Secretary, Mineral Resources Department, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General Registration and Superintendent of Stamps.
8. Amit Tomar (IAS:2009:MP), Inspector General Registration and Superintendent of Stamps with additional charge of Secretary, Commercial Tax Department, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Urja Vikas Nigam, and Commissioner, New and Renewable Energy Department.
9. Satendra Singh (IAS:2009:MP), OSD-cum-Director, Tribal Area Development Scheme; MD, MAPCET; MD, MP Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation and Director, Tribal Research & Development Institute, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum- Director, Backward Class & Minority Welfare; Commissioner Scheduled Castes Welfare, with additional charge of MD, State Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation.
10. Karmveer Sharma (IAS:2010:MP), Commissioner-cum-Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection with additional charge of Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Bhopal Division.

Bhasker Lakshakar (IAS:2010:MP), Commissioner, Treasury & Accounts and ex-officio Secretary, Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum-Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection with additional charge of Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection.
12. Dinesh Srivastava (IAS:2010:MP), OSD-cum-Director, Public Health & Family Welfare with additional charge of Controller, Food & Drugs Administration, has been transferred and posted as OSD-cum-Secretary, MP State Election Commission.
13. Sheelendra Singh (IAS:2010:MP), Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Rewa Division.
14. Saurabh Kumar Suman (IAS:2011:MP), Commissioner-cum- Director, Backward Class & Minority Welfare; Commissioner Scheduled Castes Welfare, with additional charge of MD, State Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation, has been transferred and posted as OSD-cum-Commissioner-cum-Director, Horticulture & Food Processing.
