Moinak Mukherjee re-designated as Director in Ministry of Defence

Moinak Mukherjee (ISS:2011), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (26.12.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Mukherjee’s post to Director level with effect from January 1, 2025, or the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post and for a period upto April 26, 2026 i.e. total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.

It is noteworthy that Moinak Mukherjee commenced his central deputation tenure on April 27, 2021.
