Modi govt. promoted 12 senior IPS officers to DG, Special DG rank

Modi government on Thursday promoted 12 senior IPS officer to DG and Special DG rank

The names of the officers are as follows :

1. Sheel Vardhan Singh (IPS:1986:BH) has been promoted as Special Director in Intelligence Bureau (IB). Presently he is working as Additional Director in IB.
2. Dr. A.K. Verma (IPS:1986:BH) has been granted in-situ promotion as Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB). He is presently working as Additional Director in IB.
3. Dr. Prabhakar Aloka (IPS:1986:TG) has been granted in-situ promotion as Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB). He is presently working as Additional Director in IB.
4. Shambhu Nath Singh (IPS:1986:MN) has been granted in-situ promotion as Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB). He is presently working as Additional Director in IB.
5. V.S.K Kaumudi (IPS:1986:AP), presently working as DG, BPR&D (post temporarily downgraded to the level of ADG in level 15) has been appointed as DG, BPR&D by restoring the post of DG, BPR&D to the level of DG.
6. Md. Jawed Akhtar (IPS:1986:UP), ADG, CRPF has been promoted to the rank of Special DG, CRPF against available vacancy.
7. Kuldip Singh (IPS:1986:WB), presently working as ADG, CRPF, has been promoted to the rank of Special DG in CRPF against available vacancy.
8. Nasir Kamal (IPS:1986:UP), presently working as ADG, BSF has been promoted to the rank of Special DG in BSF against available vacancy.
9. Abhay (IPS:1986:OR) has been appointed as Director, SVP NPA by restoring the post of Director to the level of DG.
10. Alok Kumar Pateria (IPS:1986:MP), presently working as Additional DG, CISF has been promoted as Special DG in CISF on in-situ basis from the date of as and when on of the officers of his batch is appointed at the level of DG/euivalent in the Centre and upto May 31, 2020.
11. J. Chakravarty (IPS:1986:AM), working as Additional DG in SSB has been promoted to Special DG on in-situ basis from the date of as and when on of the officers of his batch is appointed at the level of DG/euivalent in the Centre and till date of his superannuation.
12. M.A. Ganapathy (IPS:1986:UK), working as Additional DG in CISF has been promoted to Special DG on in-situ basis from the date of as and when on of the officers of his batch is appointed at the level of DG/euivalent in the Centre and till date of his superannuation.
