Modi govt effects Secretary rank reshuffle; Parida is NACWC Chairman, Renuka Kumar gets MHA

The Modi government on Thursday cleared the appointment and reshuffle of Secretary level posts in various departments and ministries. Officers appointed, laterally shifted and promoted in the rank and pay of Secretary (GoI).

1. Manoj Kumar Parida (IAS:1986:UT) has been appointed as Chairman, National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC) in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Presently, he is serving in the cadre as Adviser to the Administration of UT (Chandigarh).
2. B. Anand, (IAS:1987:TN), Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence upon superannuation of Ravi Kant (IAS:1984:BH) on 30.06.2021.
3. Ms. Renuka Kumar (IAS:1987:UP) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs upon superannuation of Pramod Kumar Das (IAS:1986:MP) on 30.06.2021. Presently, she is serving in the cadre.
4. S. K. Dev Verman (IAS:1988:MN), Special Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post vice B. Anand, (IAS:1987:TN) upon his appointment as Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare.
5. Indevar Pandey (IAS:1988:WB), Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development upon superannuation of Ram Mohan Mishra (IAS:1987:AM) on 30.06.2021.
6. Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS:1987:MP), Special Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research & Education & Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare vice Indevar Pandey (IAS:1988:WB) upon his appointment as Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development.
