Modi govt effects major bureaucratic reshuffle, D K Singh named as Secretary, Cooperation

The Narendra Modi government on Wednesday (22.09.2021) effected a major bureaucratic rejig at the level of Secretary.

The name of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Ms. Anuradha Prasad (IDAS:1986) has been appointed as Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs vice Sanjeev Gupta (IAS:1985:HP) upon his superannuation on 30.09.2021. Presently, she is Special Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
2. Pradip Kumar Tripathi (IAS:1987:J&K) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Presently, he is serving as Secretary, Ministry of Steel.
3. Rajiv Bansal (IAS:1988:NL) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation vice Pradeep Singh Kharola (IAS:1985:KN) upto his superannuation on 30.09.2021. Presently, he is serving as Chairman and Managing Director, Air India Ltd., Ministry of Civil Aviation.
4. Govind Mohan (IAS:1989:SK) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Culture vice Raghvendra Singh (IAS:1983:WB) (Retd.) upon completion of his term on 30.09.2021. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Home.
5. K Rajaraman (IAS:1989:TN) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications vice Anshu Prakash (IAS:1986:UT) upon his superannuation on 30.09.2021. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance.
6. Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP) has been appointed as Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Presently, he is serving as Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
7. Ms. Ansuli Arya (IAS:1989:BH) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Official Language in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, she is Administrator, Universal Service Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications.
8. Rajesh Aggarwal (IAS:1989:MH) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Presently, he is Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
9. Lok Ranjan (IAS:1989:TR) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training.
10. Devendra Kumar Singh (IAS:1989:KL) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
11. Sunil Barthwal (IAS:1989:BH) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment. Presently, he is Central Fund Commissioner, Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.
12. Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi (IAS:1989:BH) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Sports in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports vice Ravi Mittal (IAS:1986:BH) upon his superannuation on 30.09.2021. Presently, she is Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training.
13. K Sanjay Murthy (IAS:1989:HP) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education vice Amit Khare (IAS:1985:JH) upon his superannuation on 30.09.2021. Presently, he is CEO and MD, National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
    

Further, the ACC also approved in-situ upgradation of nine IAS officers to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them in their respective ministries/departments.

1. S Kishore (IAS:1989:WB) as Special Secretary in Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
2. V Srinivas (IAS:1989:WB) as Special Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension.
3. Manoj Joshi (IAS:1989:KL) as Special Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
4. Vivek Joshi (IAS:1989:HY) as Registrar General and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Culture in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
5. Chandan Sinha (IAS:1989:WB) as Director General, National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
6. Katikithala Srinivas (IAS:1989:GJ) as Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
7. Anita Praveen (IAS:1989:TN) as Special Secretary, Department of Telecommunications in the Ministry of Communications.
8. Rajeev Ranjan (IAS:1989:MP) as Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
9. Arun Kumar (IAS:1989:HY) as Director General in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Secretary to the government of India.
