The Narendra Modi government on Sunday approved in-situ upgradation of a total of 10 IAS officers to the level of special secretary in the rank and pay of secretary by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them in their respective ministries/departments.
They are :
- Jyoti Arora (IAS:1987:HY) : Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, M/o Electronics and Information Technology.
- B. Anand (IAS:1987:TN) : Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs in the rank and pay of Secretary.
- Ms. Neel Kamal Darbari (IAS:1987:RJ) : Managing Director, Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium, Department of Agriculture, Coorperation and Farmers Welfare in the rank and pay of Secretary.
- Bidyut Bihari Swain (IAS:1988:GJ) : Special Secretary, Department of Commerce.
- Apurva Chandra (IAS:1988:MH) : Special Secretary and Director General (Aquisition), Ministry of Defence.
- Rajiv Bansal (IAS:1988:NL) : CMD, Air India Ltd., Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Secretary.
- Ali Raza Rizvi (IAS:1988:HP) : Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
- Praveen Kr Srivastava (IAS:1988:AM) : Special Secretary, Department of Home, MHA.
- Arvind Singh (IAS:1988:MH) : Chairman, Airport Authority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Secretary.
- Indevar Panday (IAS:1988:WB) : Special Secretary, Ministry of DoNER.
