Anurag Prasad (IRS-IT:1991), who was serving as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Minerals & Metals Trading Corporation Ltd. (MMTC), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (30.05.2025), the competent authority approved his early repatriation to facilitate his promotion.
Prasad was appointed as MMTC’s CVO in November 2022 for a fixed tenure of three years, which was originally set to end in November 2025. However, his return to the parent cadre comes ahead of schedule to allow him to avail the benefit of promotion.
