Anurag Kumar (IPS:2004:AM) and Ruchika Rishi (IPS:2004:SK) have been appointed as IGs in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). Both officers worked as DIGs in BPR&D. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on June 15, 2023, the competent authority has approved the appointment of both officers to the post from the date of joining the post and upto their balance tenure or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
