In a significant development, Mayank Sharma (IDAS:1989), currently serving as the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), has been appointed as the Financial Adviser (Defence Services) in the Ministry of Defence.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (09.06.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Sharma’s appointment to the post with effect from August 1, 2025.
Sharma assumed charge as CGDA on March 1, 2025, and is scheduled to retire from service on October 31, 2025.
