Senior IPS officer Manoj Yadava (IPS:1988:HY) on Tuesday (01.08.2023) assumed the role of Director General (DG) of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He has succeeded Sanjay Chander (IPS:1987:WB), who retired on July 31.
Prior to his current appointment, Manoj Yadava was serving as DG (Investigation) in the National Human Rights Commission. His term as DG, RPF will continue until his superannuation on July 31, 2025.
Throughout his career, Manoj Yadava has held several important roles, including serving as the Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau. He also led the Haryana Police as the Director General of Police (DGP) from 2019 until August 2021.
