Manoj Mittal, MD & CEO of IFCI Limited, has been appointed new Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for three years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (25.07.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Financial Services to appoint Mr. Mittal to the post for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mittal will replace Sivasubramanian Ramann as SIDBI CMD.
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) recommended his name for the CMD position at SIDBI on April 10. The FSIB’s decision was based on a thorough evaluation of 21 candidates who were interviewed on April 9 and 10, considering their performance, overall experience, and adherence to established criteria.
